| 약력 | 안드레아 그라시아는 낮에는 도예가, 밤에는 싱글맘으로 활동하고 있다. 그녀 자신의 교육 뉴올리언스, 로스앤젤레스에서 도자 전문가의 수습생활을 하였으며, 미국 전역의 다양한 워크숍과 레지던스에 참여하였다. 물레를 차거나 핸드빌딩 등의 요소들을 사용하여 다채롭고 기능적인 조각품을 만든다. 루이지애나의 유색 인종 문화를 기념하는 NPN Take Notice Fund 수상자와 2023 NCENA 다문화 회원으로, 뉴올리언스의 도자센터에서 강사로 활동하며 스튜디오를 운영하고 있다. Andrea Garcia is a ceramic artist by day, single mother by night. Carving her own educational path, she apprenticed with clay professionals across New Orleans, LA and participated in a variety of workshops and residencies across the US. Built with thrown and handbuilt elements, she creates functional sculpture that is colorful and character driven. An awardee of the NPN 2022 Take Notice Fund, honoring culture bearers of color in Louisiana, and a 2023 NCECA Multi Cultural Fellow, you can find Andrea teaching at the Clay Center of New Orleans or sculpting flowers in her studio. |
